Addis Abeba (Ethiopia) - 2006
play
Angélique Kidjo was part of a high-profile line-up in Addis Abeba to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the birth of Bob Marley. Once her musical duties over in the capital, the Béninois artist went down to the impoverished Omoro region of Ethiopia to assist UNICEF in its campaigns to eradicate AIDS, bring water to isolated communities and open medical centres for the poor. This programme was first broadcast by Radio France International’s weekly programme Crossroads.
